Workshop mit Lene Holme Samsøe – Workshop with Lene Holme Samsøe

Letzte Woche Montag war mein Glückstag!

Der Garnladen Sommerfuglen hatte drei Workshops mit Lene Holme Samsøe organisiert und die waren natürlich SOFORT ausverkauft (glücklicherweise gab es eine Absage und genau die Karte hab ich dann noch bekommen – Glück muss man haben). Falls dir ihr Name so spontan nichts sagt: Lene hat Bücher wie Edle Maschen, Feminine Knits, Essentially Feminine Knits und Perfectly Feminine Knits (die letzten drei gibt’s wohl nicht auf Deutsch?!) herausgegeben.
Außerdem arbeitet Lene bei Sandnes Garn und hat zusätzlich gerade auch das Traumbuch Kofteboken zusammen mit Liv Sandvik Jakobsen von Livs Lyst (auch nur auf Norwegisch, aber schaut euch mal die Bilder an!) herausgegeben.

Jedenfalls war Lene in Kopenhagen und hat drei Workshops gegeben, bei dem sie das oben genannte Kofteboken vorgestellt hat (das ich zufällig ein paar Tage vorher zum Geburtstag bekommen hatte, yay!). Ca. 20 von den Jacken und Pullis, die in dem Buch vorgestellt wurden, hatte sie sogar dabei und man durfte gucken und anfassen. Danach wurden ein paar Methoden ausprobiert, die bei den Koften (Koften sind übrigens diese ganz tollen traditionellen norwegischen Jacken, die mindestens zwei verschiedene Farben enthalten müssen) angewendet werden.

Hierfür haben Sandnes Garn sogar für jeden Teilnehmer ein Themaheft, zwei Knäuel ihrer Tovewolle und ein zur Wolle passendes Muster spendiert. Welch ein Luxus an einem Montag Abend! Vielen Dank an Sandnes Garn dafür!

Vom Workshop selber kann ich leider keine Fotos posten, da es viel zu dunkel für meine Handykamera war, allerdings kann ich euch meine Lieblingsmodelle von dem Heft und die Wolle zeigen. 🙂

Die nächsten Tage wird auch ein Post über das tolle Kofteboken kommen. Auch wenn es das Buch bisher nur auf Norwegisch gibt, MÜSST ihr euch die Bilder einfach ansehen. Die zwei haben sich wirklich unglaublich viel Arbeit gemacht mit dem Buch und es total super gestaltet – und die Modelle erst… Na ja, ich werd’s euch zeigen.

Monday last week was my lucky day!

The yarn store Sommerfuglen had arranged three workshops with Lene Holme Samsøe. If her name doesn’t ring a bell: She wrote books such as Feminine Knits, Essentially Feminine Knits und Perfectly Feminine Knits. On top of that she also works at Sandnes Garn and has just published the book Kofteboken (currently in Norwegian only) together with Liv Sandvik Jakobsen from Livs Lyst (it’s in Norwegian only, but try and have a look, it is such a beautiful blog!).

Anyways, Lene was in Copenhagen and held three workshops where she talked about the book, presented around 20 of the cardigans and sweaters from the book mentioned above (yes, we were allowed to touch) and we even got to try some of the techniques that were used when knitting the jackets.

For the trial knits Sandnes Garn sponsored one of their magazines, one of the patterns and two skeins of yarn we could use to knit the pattern with. What a luxury on a Monday morning! Thanks to Sandes Garn for that!

Unfortunately I cannot show any pictures from the workshop itself as it was way too dark for the camera on my phone, but I can show you some of my favourites from the magazine and the wool. 🙂

I will also be showing some more of the Kofteboken during the next days. Even though it’s in Norwegian you just HAVE to see this book. I have hardly ever seen as attractive a knitting book as this one. Obviously a lot of work was put into this book. Well, I’ll show you.

Also dafür, dass ich wirklich kein Fan von Socken stricken bin, hab ich mir hier in ganz schön viele Sockenmodelle verguckt.
