Monthly Knits (January) – Mein Strickzeug diesen Monat (Januar)

The new year starts with a couple of new projects and some that I have had on the needles for quite a while:

Dieses Jahr beginnt mit ein paar neuen Projekten, allerdings auch ein paar, die bereits seit einer Weile auf meinen Nadeln sind:

The blue sweater is also still in the works. I had already joined the body and the sleeves, but had to undo it again as I set the 2nd sleeve on the wrong way around with the increased stitches facing upwards. That wasn’t very pretty. So that one will still be a while.

Der blaue Pulle in immer noch aktuell. Ich hatte den Körper und die Ärmel bereits zusammengefügt, allerdings hatte ich den einen Ärmel falsch rum angestrickt, so dass die neu aufgenommenen Maschen nach oben zeigten. Das war nicht so schön, aber man lernt ja bekanntlich aus seinen Fehlern.

A new loop with my own Norwegian pattern with which I’m practising double knitting – this one really requires concentration! But it is so thick, warm and cosy, definitely worth the effort!

Ein neuer Loop im hausgebrauten Norwegermuster, mit dem ich das Doppelstricken übe (Muster auf beiden Seiten). Ich sag euch, das ringt mir einiges an Konzentration (und Geduld) ab! Aber es ist so schön dick, warm und kuschelig – alle Mühe wert!

This little something has been laying around in my wool stash for quite a while now. It was supposed to become a cowl, but somehow I just cannot get myself to continue with it. I suppose I’ll have to do some ribbing and start over. The wool is just to good to end up as a half-finished project.

Ein kleines Etwas, das nun schon seit einiger Zeit in meiner Kiste liegt, ist dieser zukünftige Cowl. Aber irgendwie will er (oder ich) nicht so Recht. Mal schauen was noch draus wird. Ich glaub, der muss irgendwann aufgeribbelt werden. Die Wolle ist einfach zu toll, um als halbes Projekt zu enden.

 

(Nearly) Finished projects / (Fast) Fertige Projekte:

Eriks vest by g-uld.dk, knitted from the top down and knits up really quickly. I’m actually done with all the knitting and only need to find some nice buttons. Here you get an interim picture. A proper one of the finished vest follows at a later point in time.

Eriks Weste von g-uld.dk, die von oben nach unten gestrickt wird. Strickt sich flux. Mit der Strickerei bin ich schon fertig und brauche nun nur noch ein paar passende Knöpfe. Hiermit ein zwischenzeitliches Bild – eins von der komplett fertigen Weste folgt dann bald.

A new pair of my Daisy Mittens, in grey this time, which a friend of mine wished for for her birthday.

Ein neues Paar meiner Muschelhandschuhe, die sich eine Freundin zum Geburtstag gewünscht hat, dieses Mal in Grau.
