December knits – Strickzeug im Dezember

Sometimes projects just take a bit longer. Therefore, I thought it might be a good idea to declare here about once a month what I’m currently working on. That way, there’ll be a little more pressure to actually get on with things…I hope. 🙂

So here we go!

Manchmal dauern selbst kleine Projekte länger als geplant. Deshalb hab ich mir gedacht, dass ich dir hier jeden Monat zeige, woran ich derzeitig arbeite. So hoffe ich, mich selber ein bisschen mehr unter Druck zu setzen, endlich mit diversen Projekten fertig zu werden.

Los geht’s!

My best friend ordered a scarf for her little boy. “No problem”, I said. And started on a hat.
The scarf is still in the works.

Meine beste Freundin hat einen Schal für ihren kleinen Jungen bestellt. “Kein Problem”, hab ich gesagt und fing an, eine Mütze zu stricken. Der Schal ist noch in der Mache.

A while ago, I thought to myself that I should now have reached a knitting level where I could design my own sweater. So far so good. I’m extremely happy with the wool I chose (Lana Grossa, merino and kid mohair) and the body and one sleeve are done. But the most complicated part is yet to come – stay tuned.

Vor einer Weile dachte ich mir, dass meine Strickfähigkeiten nun ein Level erreicht haben sollten, dass ich meinen eigenen Pulli designen kann. Bisher läuft’s ganz gut. Ich bin extrem zufrieden mit meiner Woll-Wahl (Lana Grossa, Merino und Kid Mohair) und der Hauptteil und ein Ärmel sind schon fertig. Das potenziell gefährlichste Stück (der Raglan) kommt ja noch – ich bin gespannt.

“Oh, the niece needs a Christmas present as well. Oops.” This one has priority. I knit as fast as I can. The package will even need to be sent to Canada, so that I have to be done even earlier for the post people to have time to deliver it BEFORE Christmas. See you, I have to knit… It’ll be a little cardigan btw. (Laban by Signe Strømgaard). In bright pink. My eyes are hurting already.

“Huch, die Nichte braucht ja auch noch ein Weihnachtsgeschenk. Ups.” Ich stricke so schnell ich kann. Das Päckchen muss auch noch nach Kanada, d.h. ich muss noch früher fertig sein, damit die Post auch Zeit hat es bis Weihnachten dorthin zu bringen. Ich bin dann mal stricken… Es wird übrigens ein kleines Jäckchen (Laban von Signe Strømgaard). In knallpink. Meine Augen tun jetzt schon weh.
